Assetworx is an IT asset disposition and electronics recycling company based in American Fork, Utah. We work with businesses to securely process their retired computer and IT equipment, keeping their data safe and keeping usable hardware out of landfills.
We hold R2v3, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and NAID AAA certifications, which means our data security, environmental, and workplace safety practices are independently audited rather than self-declared. Our team is growing, and we promote from within.
Ever wonder what happens to a computer after a company retires it? That's where you come in. As a Computer Test Technician, you'll test desktops, laptops, all-in-ones, monitors, and Apple devices as they come in, and figure out what still works, what can be repaired, and what gets recycled.
A lot of what crosses your bench gets a second life. The rest gets broken down and recycled responsibly instead of sitting in a landfill — and either way, the data on it never leaves our building.
No experience needed, we'll train you! We're looking for someone who's curious about computers, careful with details, and shows up consistently. You'll start with a 30-day training period, and your pay goes up after that. You'll work on a friendly, collaborative team alongside people with strong IT and data experience.
We fill lead positions from the inside whenever we can. Technicians who do well move into higher-level testing and repair work, data destruction, and other IT roles on our team as the seats open up. We also cross-train across departments, so you'll learn how equipment moves through the whole operation instead of just your piece of it.
This is warehouse floor work. You'll be on your feet for much of the shift, though stools and seating are available at the testing benches. The role involves regularly handling and moving computer equipment, including desktops and monitors (up to 20 lbs).
