Temporary Computer Technician
October- December 2026
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft, iOS and ChromeOS operating systems with strong problem resolution skills
- Experience in hardware and software installations and troubleshooting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.)
Description:
- To provide service and support to students and district employees; district-owned hardware, software and peripherals; district subscription services
Performance Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment and upgrades to software
- Install and troubleshoot software while adhering to license requirements
- Install, configure, repair and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices and peripherals
- Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment, warranties and software licenses
- Prioritize tech tickets, find resolutions and document repair solutions
- Maintain department documentation with updated procedures, troubleshooting andproblem-solving resolutions
- May be asked to manage:
- iOS devices through MDM solutions
- Chrome devices through the Google Admin Console
- Application deployment to mobile devices
- Perform any other such duties as may be assigned by the Director of Information
- Systems and/or the Director of Technology and Library Media
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Establish and maintain positive interactions with students, school personnel and community members
- Present information in a clear and concise manner
- Consult and collaborate with Technology Department members
- Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness to solve problems
- Independently organize and prioritize multiple demands while performing duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism
- Learn new systems and technology to meet changing demands
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
