Job description

Pay: $18.00/hr.
Shift: 5:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday
Location: Hixson Blvd. Lebanon, TN
General Summary

The Computer Technician 2 (EMR2) role involves various job functions within our facility, requiring similar levels of skill, responsibilities, and expectations. The EMR2 is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing hardware and software issues on Tablets, Notebooks, Desktops, and Servers, depending on the assigned Line of Business. Key functions may include EG1 DFS (Warranty & Floater), EG3 Conus (Wipe Down).

Responsibilities
  • Operate production in the Burn area as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with operators from other shifts.
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Diagnose system issues and route for repair.
  • Load and unload products efficiently and safely.
  • Move products to storage and manage inventory, including order picking and assembly for shipment.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely, including RF equipment, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Cross-train teammates across roles.
  • Ensure accurate inbound and outbound shipments, free of damage.
  • Follow SOPs and JSAs.
  • Participate in physical inventories.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, packing, and repacking.
  • Train new teammates on job functions.
  • Train Burn techs on failure types and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
  • Manage inventory disposition and conduct cosmetic inspections.
  • Document repairs accurately in relevant systems.
  • Determine cost-effective repair options and update system dispositions.
  • Perform minor hardware replacements and load/unload units for special processes.
  • Perform cosmetic repairs on various systems.
  • Utilize tools like the Dell Password Reset utility to unlock units.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, 0-2 years relevant experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Optional: A+ certification.
  • Technical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Familiarity with materials handling and RF equipment is beneficial.
  • Ability to understand technical instructions.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to federal regulations.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements

Ability to follow policies, interpret information, perform basic math, handle physical tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity and full range of motion are necessary.
