Job summary

Job description

Union Adventist University in Lincoln, NE

Responsible for all hardware and software on desktop computers and other end‑user devices including security. Must also maintain all devices in classrooms connected to the classroom computer or network, including audio/visual equipment.

Required Experience
  • Two‑year degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience replacing computer hardware and troubleshooting all versions of Windows.
  • Four‑year bachelor's degree in a computer‑related field (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on communication and relationship development with colleagues and students.
  • Strong desire to work as a member of a high‑performing team with excellent results.
  • Ability to use technology and software.
  • Ability to write small programs or scripts to automate tasks.
  • Ability to install and maintain audio, camera, and presentation systems for classrooms.
  • Capable of understanding and following verbal and written instructions and finding answers to questions in printed and electronic materials.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Patient and organized approach.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
Special Requirements
  • Expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh‑day Adventist Church; a Seventh‑day Adventist church member in good and regular standing.
  • Must be currently authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
