Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring for an IT Support role in Killeen, TX. The position installs and configures computer workstations, peripherals, and local area networks, while providing ongoing technical support across city facilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 3 years of computer tech support experience, with preferred A+, Security+, Network+, and Microsoft certifications. Local travel and background check may apply; benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains and provides technical support for all audio/video devices, overhead projector, and smartboard deployed in city venues.
• Responds to all open support tickets within defined SLA.
• Provides technical security analysis of open threats and mitigation recommendations.
• Identifies and defines system security requirements, conducts Windows security vulnerability assessments, and analyzes system logs and malware.
• Assists in developing policies and procedures for enterprise security infrastructure.
• Installs or repairs Windows computers with standardized applications and software.

• Base Pay $23.05 / Hour

Description

Installs and configures computer workstations, associated peripheral devices, and local area networks.

The employee will have the responsibility of:

• Maintaining and providing technical support for all audio/video devices, overhead projector, and smartboard deployed on all city designated conference, events, and general-purpose rooms
• RespondingtoallopensupportticketscreatedandassignedwithinadefinedServiceLevel Agreement (SLA)
• Providing technical security analysis of open threats and mitigation recommendation
• Identifying and defining system security requirements, conductingWindowssecurityvulnerabilityassessments, and conducting analysis on system logs and malware
• Assisting in the development of policies and procedures for enterprise security infrastructure
• InstallingorrepairingWindowscomputerswithstandardizedapplicationsandsoftware

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, and
• Three (3) years’ experience in computer technical support; or
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience
• A+, Security+, Network+ and Microsoft certifications are preferred
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience

Special Requirements:

• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license by date-of-hire
• Must be able to pass FBI criminal background fingerprint check and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for criminal justice information security standards
