Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer to architect and maintain the development ecosystem that enables software teams to efficiently build, test, and deploy applications. You will manage CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and coordinate with engineers across software and infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable releases.

The role requires onsite work in Huntsville, AL and active secret clearance, with experience in cloud platforms, IaC, and container orchestration.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• STEM degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Huntsville, AL.
• Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Ansible and Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Nexus or similar artifact repositories.
• Proficiency in Linux-based development and runtime environments.
• Experience with Git/GitLab and IaC tools such as Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with IaC and automated testing in CI/CD.
• Experience supporting DoD/aerospace/mission-critical systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

This person spends their time architecting and maintaining the development ecosystem that allows software teams to efficiently build, test, and deploy applications. Their day includes managing CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting integration issues, standing up development and test environments, automating deployment and testing processes, coordinating with software and systems engineers, and ensuring applications meet performance, security, and reliability requirements before release. They act as the bridge between development, testing, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure software moves smoothly from code development through system integration and deployment.

• Active Secret Clearance. Current CompTIA Security+ certification
• Experience supporting large-scale DoD, aerospace, missile defense, or other mission-critical systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and environment management in AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience troubleshooting complex integration issues across software, hardware, network, and infrastructure components.
• Experience supporting Agile software development teams and DevSecOps initiatives.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and secure software deployment methodologies.
• Experience with system architecture, systems engineering, or enterprise application integration.
