Job summary

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, seeks a Computer Systems Analyst II to support government site Technical Publications/Data Management for the H-60 program in North Carolina. You will manage master data packages, evaluate TDs and process deficiencies, and coordinate with engineers and OEM representatives.

The role requires strong editing and publication skills, familiarity with MIL-STD-3001, S1000D IETM, and CSDB, plus ability to obtain CAC and US citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires one year of general editorial experience with strong punctuation and grammar.
  • Requires two years of editing military manuals and specifications.
  • Experience with MS Word and MS Excel is preferred.
  • Experience with Arbortext and S1000D IETM is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, compile, organize and interpret technical data related to H-60 program and manage master technical data packages.
  • Research TDs, LES, LPS, TEI, DCN and other directives to determine if the data package must be modified.
  • Process Technical Publication Deficiency Reports using publications, blueprints and OEM data; coordinate with engineers and logisticians.
  • Assist H-60 program with Technical Manual Conferences, QA, IPRs and ILSP meetings; follow governing specs and policies.

  • Collecting, compiling, organizing and interpreting technical data related to H-60 program. Construct, verify the content, and manage the master technical data packagefor an assigned weapons system and all its peculiar components. Maintain master data packages/records in a manner which will facilitate accurate and expedient publication updates and revisions.
  • Research and analyze Technical Manual Source Data Records (TMSDR) Technical Directives (TD), Local Engineering Specifications (LES), Local Process Specifications (LPS), Temporary Engineering Instructions (TEI), Design Change Notices (DCN), technical instructions and, and others to determine if the master data package must be modified.
  • Research, answer, and process Technical Publication Deficiency Reports using background materials such as existing technical publications, blueprints, schematics, supply and logistics data. Consult with cognizant engineers, logisticians, Data Management Specialists, or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) representatives as required before modifying the technical data package.
  • Assist the H-60 program with regards to Technical Manual Conferences, Quality Assurance, In-Process Reviews, verification and Integrated Logistics Support Team Meetings.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and apply aspects of the governing specifications and policy as required in the manuals, technical manual plan, and the technical manual in-process review, validation and verification plans.

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opening for a Computer Systems Analyst II in Havelock, NC. The Computer Systems Analyst II will provide government site Technical Publications/Data Management support for the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) H-60 publications team. The position will work as an integral part of the FMS technical publications team and perform data management functions and tasks in accordance with ISO and H-60 peculiar procedures for assigned IETM format.

Payrate: $27.63 Hourly

Requirements
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires one (1) year of general editorial experience which requires proficiency in punctuation, spelling, and English grammar and rules.
  • Requires two (2) years of specialized experience in editing military manuals and specifications.
  • Requires experience with computer applications as they are used in automated publishing and information retrieval.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC
  • Must be a US Citizen
Knowledge And Experience With The Following Is Preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Technical publication, MIL-STD-3001, S1000D IETM, and CSDB experience in particular to NAVAIR standards
  • H-60 specific experience
  • Military experience using technical publications and IETMs
  • CTPL experience
  • Writing, editing, or quality assurance of technical documentation experience using MS Excel, MS Word, and PTC Arbortext
  • Strong attention to detail
