SSI is seeking an experienced software and web interface professional to support a team in San Diego, CA, developing the way users interact with computer systems, software, and websites. Must possess an active Secret clearance and be able to work onsite daily at NAVWAR’s Topside location in San Diego. An alternate work schedule on the 9/80 may be permitted.
Responsibilities
- Develop, upgrade, and maintain websites and web-based collaborative sites using Power Apps, web server software, and knowledge of various server environments for a Navy customer.
- Secure web applications by establishing and enforcing policies; define and monitor access.
- Collaborate with software development team, government customer, end users, and other stakeholders on internal tools and processes.
- Assist with development, modification, and bug fixes for scripts in Python, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
- Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information; manage projects using Agile methodology.
- Establish reportable metrics that are efficiently obtainable.
- Manage SharePoint integrations, workflows, and document storage.
- Assist with creating white papers, writing SOPs, and documenting processes as needed.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Current Security+ certification.
- At least 4 years of experience in networking, software development, and website design/maintenance.
- Experience with web programming emphasizing security and scripting; proficiency in markdown language.
- Familiarity with Agile processes, including conducting SCRUMs, managing sprints, and tracking progress.
- Scripting experience in Python, PHP 8.x, Bourne Shell, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
- Experience setting up and managing git servers.
- Experience with Power Apps such as Power Automate, Canvas Apps, Power BI.
- Fluency in WDL (Workflow Definition Language).
Preferred Qualifications
- Development experience in C/C++, database utilization (Postgres, SQL variants), and object-oriented programming.
- Cloud experience in Azure, Salesforce, and/or AWS.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as GIT, SVN, CVS.
- Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Certifications in Linux, AWS, or related areas.
