College of DuPage is seeking a Computer Operator II (FT) to monitor and control Datatel/Colleague processes, manage backups, and support network and information systems tasks in a college data center environment.
Responsibilities include operating the Datatel system, executing Colleague processes, documenting procedures, and covering shifts as needed. The role emphasizes reliability, documentation, and collaboration with IS and Network Services teams.

Monitor and control Colleague processes and system maintenance tasks. Contact Information Systems or Network Services on equipment or Datatel failures. Monitor Datatel backup jobs and execute Colleague processes for numerous departments according to the prepared shift schedule. Change Network Services backup tapes and file them or prepare them for pickup by offsite data storage company. Scan and link documents for various departments. All duties are not performed on each shift, however, all operators need to know how to do all tasks and cover for absences as needed.

9 Hourly Starting salary beginning at $26.25/hourly, based on education and experience
