Plymold, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC programmer to develop and optimize computer numerically controlled programs for woodworking equipment. You will review shop drawings, determine tool paths and speeds, and collaborate with operators to ensure programs run to spec.
Responsibilities include maintaining file structures, adhering to naming conventions, and using nesting software to improve yield and efficiency while applying quality standards and driving process improvements.
This position is responsible for performing all activities needed for programming CNC equipment, including maintenance of the programs, files, and the database structure.

This position requires an individual with proven CNC programming experience in the woodworking industry, along with an understanding of different types of CNC tooling and their applications. He/She must have knowledge of Cad and Programing and nesting software with a strong knowledge of wood working CNC Routers. Proficiency in Sigma Nest is a plus A two (2) year degree/certificate in CNC Programming is required, or, absent a degree/certificate, four to five years of applicable work experience in a manufacturing environment. He/She should be adaptable to learn whatever future software the Company may choose to employ. The individual must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field. In addition, he/she needs reading comprehension, knowledge of mathematics and excellent communication skills. A strong knowledge of G Code and M Code is required, while knowledge of Fanuc controls would be helpful. He/She must be a critical thinker. He/She needs to drive change and actively continue to seek out additional education and training. Experience and proven good judgment is needed to plan and accomplish goals. This position requires an individual who can handle multiple projects at one time, be open to change, well organized and have the ability to work effectively with others.
This position typically works in an office environment but will be required to move about the Company to consult with other members or utilize other resources. The incumbent will be exposed to typical shop conditions: dust, noise, heat, cold, fumes. Equipment used includes PC and other office equipment. The use of personal protective equipment will be required in specific areas. The incumbent must be able to handle stressful situations involving project deadlines, multiple priorities and relationship management.
