Job description

Newell Corporation is currently seeking a Machinist for our CNC horizontal boring mill department. Located in Arlington, WA, we offer a variety of welding, fabricating, machining, and assembly services. Our large CNC horizontal boring mill machinists are responsible for setting up and operating machines based on seed CAM files, and inspecting large fabricated, cast, and billet components for accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

1. Setting up large CNC horizontal boring mills to machine fabrications, castings, and billets to specified tolerances.
2. Selecting and monitoring appropriate holders and cutting tools for machining operations.
3. Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers for inspection during setup and processing.
4. Understanding G & M codes to identify and address errors during machine operation.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

1. Familiarity with CAD/CAM programs like Mastercam, NX, or FeatureCAM.
2. Ability to program toolpaths using Mastercam.
3. Experience with Romer/Faro measurement arms and laser tracking equipment for dimension verification.

Additional Information:

• Pay ranges from $30 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.
