Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (Mill & Lathe) for an onsite role at our Monrovia, CA headquarters. The position covers a second shift (Mon–Thu, 2:30pm–11pm) with a base pay up to $36/hr plus a $2/hr shift differential, overtime at 1.5x, and an annual bonus based on performance.

CNC Machinist (Mill & Lathe) opportunity with our client, a family-owned engineered plastics manufacturer, targeting significant growth toward ~$90M. The company produces mission-critical components for aerospace, semiconductor, medical, defense, space, energy, and industrial markets.

Onsite position based at their HQ in Monrovia, CA (M-F, 5-days per week).

Hours: Mon. – Thurs., 2nd Shift: 2:30pm – 11pm

This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Key responsibilities include machine setup, tooling changes, program adjustments, quality inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient production while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

• 4 years of relevant CNC machinist experience (Lathe or Mill or both)
• Must have Machine Set-Up experience, not operation only

What the client offers:

• Up to ~$36/hr. in base pay (based on experience)
• Shift differential: $2/hr. for 2nd shift
• Overtime: 1.5x/hour (required OT each week)
• Annual bonus (up to 5% based on performance)
