Role Description This full‑time, on‑site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist role is located in the Joplin Metropolitan Area. The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components to exact specifications. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions, selecting appropriate tooling and materials, performing machine offsets and adjustments, and inspecting finished parts to verify compliance with quality standards. The role also involves performing routine machine maintenance, documenting production activities, collaborating with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues, and following all safety and regulatory requirements in a fast‑paced aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery setup, including CNC equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Proficiency in Machining and Milling processes, including selecting tools, setting feeds and speeds, and working with various metals and alloys.
• Experience with Quality Control practices, including using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and documenting inspection results.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions, and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
• Previous experience in aerospace, defense, or other high‑precision manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and adherence to standard operating procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing technology is preferred.
