HTI is recruiting a CNC Machinist for a manufacturer and distributor of premium replacement parts in the automotive industry. This is a direct position on 2nd shift (5:30 pm - 4:00 am), Monday through Thursday. Pay starts at $27.45 per hour (training rate) and $27.95 per hour (position rate) + $2.00 per hour shift differential. Excellent growth opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities - CNC Machinist:

• Operate machines to safely produce component parts to production and quality targets.
• Perform hourly in-process inspections.
• Make manual machine adjustments as necessary to maintain product conformance.
• Track quality using various run charts.
• Acquire consumables from plant stores.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, including disposing of machine chips and bar waste.
• Prior experience with manual or horizontal lathes.
• Able to use measuring devices such as calipers, snap gauges, split bores, etc.
• Experience with tolerances less than 1mm.
• Know how to use tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.
• Perform tooling changes and dial machine back in, up to 16 different tools per machine.
• Communicate with Process or Cell Technicians and Leadership as necessary.
• Perform work according to SOPs and safety rules.

Requirements - CNC Machinist:

• HS Diploma or GED required; an Associate Degree in a related field is preferred.
