Job summary

Bellevue Talent Partners is assisting a client in the Pittsburgh area to hire a skilled Lathe CNC Machinist who will set up, operate, and maintain Haas and Mitsubishi CNC lathes to fabricate precision parts from metals, plastics, and composites.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of CNC lathe experience (Journeyman preferred), a HS diploma or GED, and strong GD&T knowledge. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus disability and life coverage are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Machine setup and operation of CNC lathes safely.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to plan machining sequences.
• Perform quality checks with calipers, micrometers, and indicators to meet tolerances.
• Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on equipment; track parts using ERP.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Job description

My client is hiring a skilled Lathe CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain Haas and Mitsubishi CNC lathe machines with minimal supervision. The role involves fabricating precision parts, tools, and equipment from metals, plastics, and composites.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Safely set up and operate CNC lathes (Haas DS30Y, ST30Y, ST35Y, and Mitsubishi Litz L-400).
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to plan machining sequences.
• Quality Control: Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) to meet tight tolerances and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Maintenance & Admin: Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on equipment; track parts and jobs using the company ERP system.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 5-10 years of related CNC lathe machining experience (Journeyman certification preferred).
