Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. in Hanover, MD seeks a senior software engineer to lead design and development of tools and end-to-end data flows. You will author documentation and participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews.

The role requires 8+ years in Assembly/C/C++/Java/Python/Perl, 7+ years in Windows/.NET or UNIX makefile environments, and 4+ years in socket programming with IP/TCP knowledge; security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of programming experience in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
• Minimum 7 years of experience developing in Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments and/or UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with programming CNO tools and techniques, 5 of which were for the US Government.
• Minimum 4 years in network sockets programming including IP/TCP protocol knowledge.
• Expert ability in Unix and/or Windows low-level internals.

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
