Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation in Leawood, KS is seeking a technician to test, diagnose, repair, and refurbish mobility products such as Toughbooks and Toughpads. You may disassemble and reassemble components after replacing parts.

Required: computer troubleshooting experience, Windows knowledge, detail-oriented, and good communication. Ability to lift 12 pounds; work independently or with a team. A+ certification is a plus. Wage range $15.00-$17.00/hour, with benefits.

• Working knowledge of Windows.
• Effective written & oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to learn new applications.

Overview

Performs tasks associated with the testing, diagnosing, repair, and/or refurbishment of mobility products (Toughbooks & Toughpads). This includes disassembling (taking apart) and reassembling components after repairing or replacing parts.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose computer hardware failures
• Replace,adjustand/or repair faulty components
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting functions with theassistanceof information in the form of written or verbal descriptions/diagrams
• Perform data input of required material
• Perform quality inspections for all completed processes
• Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals
• Research and order partsrequiredfor individual repairs
• Provide feedback to supervisors of any observed trends or unusual failure conditions
• Miscellaneous daily tasks includingquality control supportand/orclean-up activities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience in computer troubleshooting and repair, down to the subassembly level, including but not limited to the removal and replacement of hard drives, memory, modems, motherboards, etc.
• Working knowledge of Windows
• Possess good organizational, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills
• Effectivewritten & oralcommunication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to learn new applications and programs
• Must be able to lift12pounds to a height of 5 feet
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
