Overview Of Position

FEDITC is seeking a Computer Equipment Repairer to work in the Texarkana, TX area. A United States citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance are required to be considered for this position.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Augment Government personnel in resolving Network Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model Layer 1 and 2 trouble tickets.
  • Troubleshoot and repair analog and digital telephone systems to include Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks and accessories.
  • Resolve connectivity issues involving data acquisition equipment in RRAD production environments.
  • Augment Government personnel in installing, testing, and troubleshooting various types of communication cables (e.g. CAT6, fiber‑optic) and to serve as Computer Systems Support Specialists (CSSSs).
  • Augment RRAD‑DFIM personnel to ensure the RRAD Property Book and all other IT recordkeeping systems are kept current and accurate, and that new equipment received, and old equipment turned into the appropriate RRAD authority for disposition is added to or removed from RRAD’s asset management lists and databases.
  • Must complete all required Government paperwork necessary to provide proper accountability for RRAD‑owned IT assets, such as the DA3161 Hand Receipt for portable equipment issued to RRAD personnel and will answer RRAD personnel inquiries regarding equipment turn in and issuance procedures.
  • Must ensure the appropriate RRAD‑DFIM network administration personnel are notified of new equipment issuances and old equipment turn‑ins to enable system image deployment and appropriate updates to the RRAD network whitelist.
  • Other support duties as needed/directed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2‑5 years of verifiable customer service or clerical experience.
  • Must be familiar with internet browsers and the Windows operating system.
Education
  • Associate’s degree.
Certifications
  • COMPTIA A+ Certification or similar is desired.
  • CompTIA Security.
Security Clearance
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’s client(s)/customer(s)/prime contractor(s).
