Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for a full-time, Monday-Thursday schedule from 7:00am to 5:30pm. This role includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiography.
• ARRT radiologic technologist certification; CT certification to be obtained within 1 year of offer.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).
• Prior hospital/healthcare radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of IVs, heparin locks and central line usage as they pertain to CT.
• Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient departmental operations.
• Accurately identifies patients/files and maintains high labeling accuracy in EMR/PACS.

CT Technologist (CT Tech) Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of IVs, heparin locks and central line usage as they pertain to computed tomography, as evidenced by observations by supervisors and peers.
• Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
• Correctly identifies patients and their files by ensuring a high degree of accuracy, as evidenced by the lack of mislabeled films, images and EMR charts.
• Tracks patients according to department procedures. Identifies errors and takes immediate action for corrections, as evidenced by the EMR and PACS systems as well as the Radiology Information Systems reports.
• Participates in department/hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services and meetings, as evidenced by attendance records

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiography.
• License: Must be certified by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain CT Certification one year upon acceptance of the offer.
• Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
• Experience: Prior experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and/or Computed Tomography Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment, preferred.
