OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager, Accounts Payable — Compute to own payment readiness and material exceptions across large‑value obligations.

You will translate approved obligations into accurate payments while navigating disputes, deadlines, and cross-system dependencies. You will lead multiple Compute Finance and Accounting teams, establish decision owners, align deadlines, and drive improvements in controls, service, and capacity in a hybrid San Francisco, CA role.

Formación

• 8+ years in AP, payments, or related finance operations, with ownership of high-value supplier obligations and material exceptions.
• Strong judgement on controls and segregation of duties in audited environments.
• Ability to translate complex pricing, capacity, credits, and payment terms into executable workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Own compute invoice-to-payment operating plan and lead supplier escalations for high-value obligations.
• Translate contracts and amendments into invoice validation, PO changes, approvals, and payment requirements.
• Investigate discrepancies, disputes, missing credits, and PO coverage gaps across ERP systems.
• Lead payment-readiness cadence across Compute Finance and Accounting teams and track deadlines and blockers.
• Confirm supplier, site, entity, tax, payment-method, and approval readiness before payment release.
• Coordinate funding forecasts and close-period payments with Treasury; reconcile aging and settlement evidence.
• Design validation rules and escalation thresholds with control partners.
