Job summary

Tufts University’s Allen Discovery Center seeks an experienced computational biologist to lead analysis for limb regeneration studies in mouse and Xenopus. You will design and interpret high-dimensional RNA-seq datasets, collaborate with experimentalists to ensure rigorous statistics, and develop novel computational methods when needed.

You will work with senior scientists to integrate data across experiments, produce publication-quality figures, and contribute to manuscripts and grants.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent with relevant experience in computational biology, genomics, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing single-cell RNA-seq data.
  • Strong proficiency in R and/or Python; solid statistics and experimental design background.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with experimental scientists.
  • Peer-reviewed publications are required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, analysis, and interpretation of high-dimensional datasets (single-cell and bulk RNA-seq).
  • Develop reproducible workflows and integrate data across experiments and species.
  • Communicate findings via visualizations, reports, and manuscripts.
  • Collaborate with wet-lab teams on experimental design and data interpretation.
  • Mentor graduate students or postdoctoral scholars and participate in teaching.
  • Maintain organized analytical records and data provenance.
