Job summary

The Allen Discovery Center seeks an experienced computational biologist to support the Morphogenesis and Regeneration Group''s limb regeneration studies in mouse and Xenopus. The role focuses on leading analysis of high-dimensional data, especially single-cell and bulk RNA-seq, and collaborating with wet-lab researchers to ensure rigorous, powered experiments.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. with relevant experience or Master''s with significant experience in computational biology, genomics, or related field.
  • Experience analyzing single-cell RNA-seq data.
  • Advanced proficiency in R and/or Python with strong statistics and experimental design.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with experimental scientists.
  • Evidence of peer-reviewed publications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, analysis, and interpretation of high-dimensional datasets, especially single-cell and bulk RNA-seq.
  • Develop reproducible pipelines for scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, and related data.
  • Collaborate on experimental design and biostatistics with scientists prior to data collection.
  • Develop new computational methods and integrate data across experiments and species.
  • Provide publication-quality figures and scientific summaries for internal decision-making.
  • Mentor graduate students or postdoctoral scholars and participate in teaching.
