Job summary

Cellarity seeks a Senior / Principal Computational Biologist to lead data analysis on cross-functional drug discovery programs using single-cell omics and large patient datasets. You will collaborate with computational biologists, ML scientists, experimental biologists, chemists, clinicians, and technologists to co-develop hypotheses and advance from atlas to lead optimization.

The role requires a PhD and 3+ years of industry experience, strong Python skills, and experience with scRNA-seq data;

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in biology, computational biology, or related scientific field.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Extensive experience analyzing single-cell and bulk transcriptomic data, preferably with large-scale atlases.
• Practical programming and scripting skills, preferably in Python.
• Fluency with AI tools to accelerate daily scientific work while maintaining high scientific rigor.
• Fast learner, analytical thinker, independent, hands-on, strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the CompBio lead and core team representative on cross-functional drug programs; develop and lead data analysis strategies.
• Apply computational biology and machine learning to generate insights from high-dimensional datasets, focusing on scRNA-seq disease atlases.
• Use transcriptomic data across program lifecycles to develop disease hypotheses and evaluate models; analyze perturbation effects and mechanism of action.
• Collaborate with experimental scientists to ensure study designs and data yield high-value readouts for next steps.
• Contribute to internal AI agent development for Cellarity’s scientific use cases.
