ConocoPhillips's Lower 48 segment consists of operations located in the 48 contiguous U.S. states, with a portfolio mainly consisting of low cost of supply, short cycle time, resource-rich unconventional plays and commercial operations. The majority of our acreage is unconventional. Based on 2025 production volumes, the Lower 48 is our largest segment and contributed 67 percent of our consolidated liquids production and 74 percent of our consolidated natural gas production.
In 2025, net production averaged 1,484 MBOED.
As a CompressorTechnician, you’llplay a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant compressor performance across our assets. Based in Kermit, TX you’llsupport new site construction, equipment installation, and ongoing optimization of compression systems. You’llwork closely with the Gas Lift/Compression Foreman, vendors, and field teams to drive operational excellence. Preference will be given to candidates who live within an hour’s commuteofthe work area.
This is a Safety-Sensitive Position.
Ensure safe and environmentally compliant operations for allcompany--ownedand rental compressors.
Train operators on shutdowns and safety devices. Verifydevicesare installed, tested, and functional.
Train field teams to meet or exceed environmental laws, rules, and regulations across all sites.
Support preparation, installation, startup, and performance of new compressor units.
Oversee site construction, equipment layout, and piping for new installations to meet design and compliance standards.
Coordinate operating conditions and evaluate vendor proposals for new installs. Secure required approvals for rental or purchase agreements.
Serve as the field point of contact for compressor vendors.Align onscope, timelines, and performance expectations.
Monitor andoptimizecompressor performance.Identifyefficiency opportunities and operational risks.
Collaborate with operations engineers to recommend unit replacements or alternate lift solutions. Manage changes through plan, execute, and verify.
Assistpumpers and productionforemen/supervisors with compressor issues to restore runtime and throughput fast.
Set up andmaintaintracking tools with operations engineers and Compression Leads to measure runtime, mechanical availability, fuel usage, throughput and environmental compliance.
Set up and troubleshoot alarm configurations for operators, coordinating with vendors when needed.
Document incidents and abnormal operations. Report findings and corrective actions to the supervisor promptly.
Perform weekly inspections on newcompany--ownedand rental units during stabilization.
Perform quarterly inspections on units after acceptance into steady operations.
Complete daily operational reports for assigned areas.
Deliver weekly and monthly summaries and KPIs to the Gas Lift/Compression Foreman.

May involve working independently for extended periods.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
