Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a Service Technician in Lansing, Michigan. You will service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment at DIRECTAIR sites across the region, while monitoring sites remotely and responding proactively to issues.

The role offers hands-on learning through the Air Academy and supplier training, a four-day, 10-hour schedule for better work-life balance, and a company-provided vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment at DIRECTAIR sites across the region.
• Monitor sites remotely and respond proactively to issues.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Identify site repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate site needs.
• Keep service vehicle stocked with tools and order parts at sites.
• Respond to urgent calls and minimize downtime.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
