Years of Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years

PRIMARY PURPOSE

This position is responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble and disassemble components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Must have light industrial or mechanical background.
  2. Must have 3-5 years of experience in mechanical background and skill set for operating specialized tools.
  3. Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  4. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
  5. Disassemble components by utilizing hand and power tools.
  6. Clean and buff components.
  7. Wash components in solvent and run parts through parts washer.
  8. Blow out parts to remove solvent and dirt.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol.
  10. Ensure that schedules are running exactly as they are listed.
  11. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  12. Turn off equipment when not in use.
  13. Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge, and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Specialized equipment used in this job
  1. High school degree or equivalent.
  2. Hand tools.
  3. Knowledge of basic mechanics.
  4. Knowledge of machine testing procedures.
Other skills and qualifications
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  3. Perform the same task repeatedly, amount, and frequency of physical effort typically required to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably; including the work positions in which the effort is applied, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

The starting hourly rate of this position is $18.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location.
