Wabtec in Duncan, SC is hiring for an assembly-focused role. You will assemble and disassemble parts, use required tools, and contribute to a collaborative team in an industrial setting. Strong listening and communication skills are important.
Starting hourly rate is $19.00 with comprehensive benefits on day one, including medical/dental/vision, life insurance, a 401(k) with company contributions, vacation, and holidays. 1+ year assembly experience preferred.
You will be responsible for assembling and disassembling assembly parts, as well as having the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the operations in an industrial setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an indoor manufacturing environment. The employee will work in areas exposed to production activities including but not limited to production machinery, assembly operations, overhead crane usage, and forklift traffic. The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to workplace hazards.
While performing the duties of this class, the employee is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information, and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills, and interact with other employees, customers, and vendors.
