Job summary

Leviton is seeking a Mold Technician to install, set up, and maintain compression molding equipment. You will ensure quality parts by inspecting tooling and performing routine repairs while adhering to safety standards.

You will coordinate with supervision for setup samples and QA approvals. The role requires knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, plus the ability to operate and verify repaired machines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Ability to operate newly repaired machinery to verify repairs
• Ability to analyze failures and machine error messages
• Ability to use equipment that requires hot work permits

Responsibilities

• Set-up/start-up of compression molding equipment
• Observe gauges and indicators to ensure equipment operates correctly
• Diagnose equipment problems and perform mechanical repairs and adjustments
• Perform molding machine maintenance and repair as required
• Maintain equipment during production operations
• Lubricate and adjust hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Document repairs and maintenance tasks
• Ensure safety guarding and clean work areas
• Lock-out/tag-out procedures when required
• Change production tooling and set up molds per specifications
• Reassemble equipment after inspections or repairs
• Submit setup samples for evaluation and QA approval
• Operate material movement equipment safely
• Operate molding equipment as needed
• Follow processes and quality system requirements
• Inspect parts for defects and wear
• Clean work areas with basic cleaners
• Perform other assigned duties
