Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacists in a clean room, with medication compounding at least 50% of the time to ensure safe, accurate operations.

Responsibilities include preparing medications, labeling, basic calculations, and helping manage medication incidents, while maintaining documentation and cleanroom standards. Requires HS diploma and 1 year pharmacy technician experience, with state licensing if required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Basic MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and state standards.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication incidents.
