Job summary

Banner Health in Chandler, AZ is seeking a full-time Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our Banner Compounding Pharmacy team. The role supports pharmacists in packaging, distribution and preparation of compounded and IV medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and hazardous agents.

Hours are 8AM–7PM; 40 hours weekly across four 10-hour shifts, with every other weekend. Candidates need Pharmacy Technician licensure or intern licensure, plus certification; experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state.
• One to two years of relative experience. Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts.

Responsibilities

• Performs packaging, distribution and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies under supervision.
• Assists in preparing compounded and intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products and hazardous agents.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and accurate documentation for controlled substances.
• Supervises workflow and assists in training Pharmacy Technicians and volunteers as needed.
