Responsibilities include assisting with dispensing, handling equipment maintenance, and maintaining temperature and cleaning logs. Requires a high school diploma, 1 year of experience, and state licensure if required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with Option Care Health policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately label and package medications.
• Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication related incidents.
• Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspect equipment and document any equipment failures or defects.
• Record and maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
