The ideal candidate holds an active South Dakota pharmacist license, has at least two years of practice, and demonstrates strong communication, safety, and quality stewardship in line with USP 795/800 standards.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Compounding Pharmacist to join a pharmacy team in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to use clinical judgment, advanced compounding techniques, and regulatory expertise to prepare customized medications that meet individual patient needs.

The ideal candidate will have an active South Dakota pharmacist license, at least two years of experience as a practicing pharmacist, and a strong commitment to patient safety, medication quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Medication Compounding: Compound, review, and dispense non-sterile medications in accordance with prescriptions, USP 795 and USP 800 standards, and applicable pharmacy laws.
• Patient Care and Consultation: Communicate directly with patients, prescribers, and healthcare teams to provide clinical guidance and support safe medication management.
• Quality and Compliance: Ensure medication accuracy, safety, and compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Pharmacy Laboratory Support: Collaborate with and mentor pharmacy technicians to maintain an efficient, positive, and compliant laboratory environment.
• Clinical Judgment: Apply pharmaceutical knowledge and professional judgment to prepare customized medication solutions that meet patient-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications
