Job summary

Deciphera is a biopharmaceutical company in Waltham, MA seeking a Senior Specialist, Compound Management to oversee receipt, registration, storage, tracking, preparation, and distribution of chemical and biological samples supporting drug discovery.

You will collaborate across Chemistry, Biology, IT, Facilities/EHS, CROs, and external partners to ensure sample integrity, inventory accuracy, and complete documentation while driving SOPs and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in compound management, sample management, or CRO environments within biotech/pharma.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, registration, storage, tracking, and inventory of compounds and CRO materials.
• Prepare, weigh, aliquot, solubilize, and dispense compounds for internal and external requests.
• Coordinate shipments and documentation for compound distribution to CROs and research partners.
• Maintain compound management databases and informatics workflows; ensure accurate records and data integrity.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and SOPs; develop workflow documentation.
• Collaborate with Research, IT, Facilities/EHS, CROs, and external partners to support safe, compliant lab operations.
