Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. is seeking a Composite Technician to assist in developing and optimizing the production of carbon fiber composite tubes. The role involves fabricating and curing tubes, laminating assemblies, and reading blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications.

You will troubleshoot equipment, monitor process parameters, and set up spray booths and cure cycles. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in composite manufacturing are preferred; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing and processing of advanced composite materials preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and optimization of composite tube production.
• Fabricate and cure carbon fiber composite tubes.
• Build laminated assemblies in filament winding, applying composite, plastic and metal parts and adhesives.
• Troubleshoot equipment and monitor process parameters; adjust settings to meet drawings and requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Set up spray booths to apply etching and primer to tubes.
• Load/unload winding mandrels and run cure cycles.
• Operate compression test machine to verify proof loads.
• Run daily production quantities and report variances as trained.
• Use computer to download work instructions.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
