AllSTEM Connections, Inc. is seeking an experienced Composite Technician Level II-III for a temp-to-hire role in Poway, CA.

The candidate will perform composite layup/lamination, fabrication, bonding, trimming, drilling, and repair of complex aerospace-grade components to strict specifications. Responsibilities include following blueprints, performing surface prep, tool setup, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a collaborative environment with engineering and QA teams.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Composite Technician Level II-III for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Poway, CA supporting advanced aerospace and defense manufacturing. This role is ideal for a hands‑on composite professional with actual composite layup or lamination experience who takes pride in precision, quality, and building complex structures to strict engineering requirements.

The Composite Technician will fabricate, assemble, bond, trim, drill, and repair composite components using materials such as carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass, adhesives, and honeycomb. This position offers a structured production environment, supportive leadership, strong teamwork across engineering and quality teams, and the opportunity to contribute to high-spec aerospace components. Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair advanced composite structures using carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass, honeycomb, adhesives, sealants, and related materials.
• Align, fit, bond, fasten, and integrate composite parts and subassemblies according to blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform surface preparation, including sanding, cleaning, treating, trimming, routing, drilling, and finishing parts to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and use molds, forms, assembly jigs, fixtures, templates, hand tools, and power tools to maintain accuracy and repeatability.
• Conduct basic fit, movement, alignment, and preliminary quality checks while documenting assembly steps, process parameters, and deviations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established safety procedures, operating practices, and documentation requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
• Location: Poway, CA.
• Level II, 1st Shift: 5:00 am to 2:30 pm, $25.50 per hour.
• Level II, 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm to 12:30 am, $26.50 per hour.
• Level III, 1st Shift: 5:00 am to 2:30 pm, $31.00 per hour.
• Level III, 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm to 12:30 am, $31.00 per hour.
