Job summary

LifePort in Woodland, WA is seeking a skilled composite layup technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will perform lamination, bonding, trimming and inspection, reading blueprints, and working with prepregs and honeycomb core in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail, with training on curing ovens, autoclaves, and vacuum bagging. A high school diploma or GED is required; aerospace experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of composite layup experience preferred.
• Aerospace or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on a team and contribute to the manufacturing process.
• Learn to inspect parts and processes to ensure quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Operate composite manufacturing equipment (ply cutters, platen presses, curing ovens, autoclaves).
• Perform vacuum bagging for prepregs, vacuum infusion, and wet layups.
• Lay out precise measurements by hand for trimming and assembly.
• Trim and drill parts to within specified tolerances using power tools.
