Job summary

Rocket Lab seeks a Composites Technician in Albuquerque, NM to support basic composite layouts, bagging prep, vacuum processing and curing. The role spans Technician I–III with increasing scope and experience requirements.

You will work on structures, laminate assemblies, and integration tasks as part of a driven Space Systems team. Candidates should have a high school diploma, and either 2+ years of composites experience or related maintenance, electronics or manufacturing skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience with composites/laminations or related maintenance/tech roles.
• Experience with electronics, mechanical troubleshooting, or manufacturing equipment.
• Basic math and measurement skills emphasized.
• Ability to operate in a hands-on aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble structures including setup, bonding and fastener applications.
• Laminate assemblies by placing composite materials correctly.
• Prepare parts for bagging with bleeders, thermocouples, probes and vacuum connections.
• Perform vacuum bag processing, bonding, and oven/autoclave curing.
• Take basic layouts to establish reference points and verify dimensions with precision tools.
• Fit Honeycomb, foam, and syntactic core; refurbish thermal protection systems.
• Integrate mechanical hardware and follow standard composite techniques.
