Job Description

The Composite Bonding Technician is responsible for laying out, assembling, pre-fitting, and bonding various metal, composite, or laminate fabrications and assemblies. This position follows detailed engineering and manufacturing specifications and is critical to the production and repair of aerospace components.

  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, specifications, work orders, and verbal/electronic instructions.
  • Cut materials to size and lay up components using both optical and hard tools.
  • Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles.
  • Perform sanding, deburring, and application of sealing resins to cut/exposed edges.
  • Execute repairs or rework as needed on complex parts.
  • Utilize shop math and precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain and certify tools and equipment as per procedural requirements.
  • Prepare assemblies for bonding and paint using approved solvents and cleaning methods.
  • Perform routine minor maintenance on machines.
  • Transport materials within the work area and support manufacturing flow.
  • Assist and train other employees, working towards MVP qualification.
  • May be asked to take on additional tasks as required by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Required: 2–5 years of composite repair experience.
  • Required: Aerospace industry experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
  • Experience using lay-up tools and precision instruments.
  • Physically able to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
  • Preferred: Local candidates.
  • Start Date: ASAP
