Job summary

AerSale, Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance technician in Florida to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft systems. You will work on removing and replacing components, fabricating parts, and applying sealants according to manuals and structural requirements.

The role requires reading maintenance manuals, blueprints and service bulletins, plus the ability to read and communicate in English. You will operate ground support equipment and support airworthiness across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Maintenance Manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, blueprints, ATA codes, service bulletins.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Experience with hot bond repairs and metal bonding.
• Familiarity with composite materials bonding and wet layups.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance operations: removal/replacement of aircraft and powerplant components.
• Repair/modify/overhaul aircraft and systems to maintain airworthiness.
• Use sealants, fasteners, and related installation methods.
• Fabricate parts as required with aerospace materials.
• Layout and execute complex structural repairs per manuals and engineering docs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform such typical maintenance operations such as the removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torquing, adjusting rigging and safety wiring, including powerplant and flight control removal and reinstallation.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft and aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
• Layout and perform complex structural repairs that are addressed in the repair manuals and engineering documents

Education and Experience

• Experienced with Maintenance Manuals, illustrated parts Catalog, Blueprints, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins, routine and non-routines and other related maintenance documents
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate safely all ground support equipment, (i.e., Main Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc.) and possess the Company operating certification.
• Able to perform hot bond repairs with Heatcon hot bonders
• Able to do metal prep and metal bonds on wing with hot bonders
• Able to co composite material hot bonds with hot bonders
• Experience with wet layups
• Proficiency with reading and understanding manual references for assigned jobs

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. Subject to continual loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
• Visual Acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.
• Normal or corrected hearing is required.
• Must be able to be at work on time and when needed with reliable transportation
