Job summary

AerSale, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform aircraft and powerplant component removals, replacements, and inspections to ensure airworthiness. The role requires reading maintenance manuals and blueprints, and applying proper sealants and fasteners.

Responsibilities include fabricating parts, performing structural repairs, and following engineering documents. This on-site Florida position offers competitive benefits and career growth within a global aviation leader.

Qualifications

• Experience with Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Blueprints, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance operations including removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components requiring bolting, torquing, adjusting, rigging and safety wiring.
• Repair, modify, replace or overhaul aircraft and systems to ensure airworthiness.
• Know sealants, fasteners and installation methods for aircraft components.
• Fabricate parts as required and understand metal and alloys and substitutions.
• Layout and perform complex structural repairs per repair manuals and engineering documents.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform such typical maintenance operations such as the removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torquing, adjusting rigging and safety wiring, including powerplant and flight control removal and reinstallation.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft and aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
• Layout and perform complex structural repairs that are addressed in the repair manuals and engineering documents

Education and Experience:

• Experienced with Maintenance Manuals, illustrated parts Catalog, Blueprints, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins, routine and non-routines and other related maintenance documents
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate safely all ground support equipment, (i.e., Main Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc.) and possess the Company operating certification.
• Able to perform hot bond repairs with Heatcon hot bonders
• Able to do metal prep and metal bonds on wing with hot bonders
• Able to co composite material hot bonds with hot bonders
• Experience with wet layups
• Proficiency with reading and understanding manual references for assigned jobs

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. Subject to continual loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
• Visual Acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.
• Normal or corrected hearing is required.
• Must be able to be at work on time and when needed with reliable transportation
