Job summary

SA-TECH in St. Inigoes, MD, is hiring a General Maintenance Worker to support our composites shop and production facilities for DoD programs. You will assist journeymen, prepare materials, and maintain work areas, with emphasis on chemical coating prep.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of shop experience, knowledge of hand and power tools, and the ability to obtain an overhead crane certification within 60 days. U.S. citizenship and DoD clearance are needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of general shop experience.
• Knowledge of common hand and power tools.
• Able to obtain overhead crane certification within 60 days.
• Able to read and comprehend job orders and technical documentation.
• Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance workers by supplying materials and cleaning areas.
• Assist journeymen by holding materials and tools.
• Support product prep in the Composites Shop, including chemical coating prep.
• Read orders and prep coatings per technical specs.
