Job summary

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) in St. Inigoes, MD is hiring a General Maintenance Worker to support our engineering, testing and production facilities, specifically in the Composites Shop.

The role focuses on product prep, assisting journeymen, handling materials and tools, and ensuring readiness for coating processes. Required: high school diploma, basic shop tools knowledge, teamwork, and reading technical documentation.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Formal trade school, college, or military training desirable.
• Knowledge of common hand and power tools.
• Minimum of two years general shop experience with knowledge of basic power tools.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Solid organizational, computer and communication skills.
• Must have or obtain overhead crane certification within 60 days.
• Must read and comprehend job orders and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist workers in skilled maintenance trades by supplying materials, tools and cleaning areas.
• Assist journeymen by holding materials or tools as directed.
• Support product prep, especially chemical coating processes.
• Work with overhead crane and adapt to various trades as needed.
