Job summary

SHD Composite Materials Inc in Mooresville, NC is hiring a Product and Process Engineer to lead on-site process development and ensure manufacturing aligns with customer specifications. The role focuses on improving cost, quality, and materials performance through hands-on process optimization.

You will manage cross-functional projects with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Sales, drive prepreg and line development, and help transition new products into production, with occasional travel to group

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering; strong understanding of composite manufacturing.
Experience with prepregs, films, adhesives, and flat materials process development for aerospace/industrial customers.
Six Sigma and Lean experience is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good project management skills.

Responsibilities

Develop deep understanding of process inputs to drive cost, quality, and materials performance improvements.
Lead manufacturing teams to improve products and integrate new products into mature processes.
Engage in line development with SHD's Group Engineering team.
Develop prepreg processes and guide equipment specs through to production.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Sales for smooth product transitions.
