Job summary

Boeing in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Composite Technical Analyst to support the CMS team in a hands-on lab environment. This on-site role focuses on fiber-reinforced composite layups, material testing and analysis, and collaboration with engineers across MP&P, Design, and Quality teams.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent, 1+ year of layup experience, and ability to interpret engineering drawings. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate or equivalent years of experience.
• 1+ years of hands-on fiber reinforced composite layup experience.
• 1+ years of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and documents.
• 1+ years of laboratory or production environment experience.
• CATIA experience preferred; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate test and manufacturing demonstration articles via layups, bagging and cure.
• Analyze and evaluate parts and test articles through research and testing.
• Support continuous improvement of products and processes with design, fabrication, testing and evaluation.
• Own testing equipment: scheduling maintenance, safety upgrades and calibration.
• Assist in training and developing others; maintain clean, 5S-compliant labs.
