Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC seeks an Associate or Experienced Composites Engineer to join the 787 Fuselage Engineering Support Team. You will help define engineering requirements, qualify new materials and processes, and support supplier qualification and manufacturing activities on the 787 program.

Responsibilities include engineering design reviews, material and part qualifications, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Travel up to 20–25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
• 2+ years of experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience working with composites and/or composite manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist with engineering design review
• Support material and part qualifications internal to Boeing and at suppliers
• Provide engineering support to the production system
