Job summary

Carbon by Design is seeking a Technician to fabricate composite parts in a fast-paced production environment. You will perform carbon layups, trim molds, and ensure parts meet quality standards through visual inspection and documentation.

The role requires careful attention to detail, experience with hand tools and measuring instruments, and the ability to read blueprints. Must be a team player and able to work in a high-demand setting.

Qualifications

U.S. Person status required due to export control.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
Composite experience highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate in English and understand instructions.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and team setting.

Responsibilities

Prep and maintain tools according to guidelines.
Follow work instructions.
Perform carbon layup processes (Carbon Pre-Preg, Carbon Fibers, Kevlar layup, Fiberglass and Hand Layup).
Trim excess materials from molds.
Ensure part build-up is free from wrinkles, air pockets, and voids.
Inspect finished products for conformance to specs and defects.
Record information on production records and logs.
Perform re-work as required.
Maintain 5S and safety standards.
Participate in internal training as needed.
Handle any other duties as assigned.
