Applied Composites is seeking a Composite Lamination Technician 1 to place prepreg fabrics onto layup molds, consolidate face sheets and cores, and manage vacuum bag and layup processes. The role requires fast execution, high-quality workmanship, and strong teamwork in a manufacturing setting supporting aerospace and defense markets.

The technician will read instructions in English, perform basic shop math, and prepare molds and materials for cure while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a related role.
• Able to read English instructions and diagrams.
• Knowledge of composites and layup terminology beneficial.
• Ability to lay up and vacuum bag complex parts with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow basic instructions and diagrams in English.
• Layup materials to molds; remove air pockets with tools.
• Layup prep, vacuum bag preparation, and cure process prep.
• Prepare molds and release agents; follow shop practices.
• Ensure plies are correctly oriented and within tolerances.
• Vacuum bag parts and verify bag integrity during cure.
• Perform other duties as needed.
