Job summary

Pac Seating Systems Llc is seeking a manufacturing technician to operate CNC cutting equipment and perform advanced fabrication, trimming, bonding, and assembly of composite components. The role requires reading engineering drawings, CAD models, and production schedules to determine manufacturing needs, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC cutting equipment to produce composite components and assemblies.
  • Create, modify, and maintain flat patterns from 3D CAD models for various manufacturing applications.
  • Develop nests and cutting layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize waste.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances prior to production release.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to resolve design-for-manufacturing issues and improve manufacturability.
  • Document programming activities and production support efforts.

Ensures compliance with engineering specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards while maintaining production records, equipment, materials, and supplies. Supports continuous improvement efforts, assists with troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and provides guidance and training to less experienced team members.Essential Functions:Read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, CAD models, work orders, specifications, and production schedules to determine manufacturing requirementsCreate, modify, and maintain flat patterns from 3D CAD models for composite, metal, and other manufacturing applicationsDevelop and optimize nests and cutting layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize wasteCreate, maintain, and revise manufacturing programs, cutting files, templates, and supporting production documentationVerify dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements prior to production releaseExcellent Organizational and time-management skillsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesMaintain safe operations by adhering to company safety procedures, policies, and regulationsMaintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.Collaborate with Engineering to identify and resolve design-for-manufacturing issues and improve product manufacturabilityDesign and incorporate assembly features such as keys, locators, alignment tabs, and seams to improve assembly accuracy and repeatabilityAssist in the fabrication and assembly of composite structures as requiredDocument programming activities, process improvements, and production support effortsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMaintain a clean, organized, and professional work environmentJob Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detailExcellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative requiredExcellent communication both written and verbalWork independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiativePrevious experience working in a manufacturing setting requiredEducation, Certifications and Experience:High school diploma or GED1+ years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in Creo/Pro-E and AutoCADPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
