Job summary

Pac Seating Systems LLC in Florida is seeking a skilled mechanical assembler for aircraft interior products. You will perform sheet metal fabrication and mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly following drawings and instructions.

Responsibilities include measuring parts, drilling/riveting, using hand tools, following redline drawings, and ensuring parts meet tolerances. Attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with related experience.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read drawings and follow instructions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Measure parts to determine specified tolerance.
  • Drill, taps, ream, countersink, and spot faces bolt holes.
  • Bolt, screw, and rivet parts; assemble mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components.
  • Follow the redline process for drawing errors.
  • Test functionality of assemblies and maintain cleanliness.

It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.Position Overview:Mechanical assembly of aircraft interior products, work includes but not limited to sheet metal fabrication, and/or mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly by performing the following duties.Essential Functions:Measures parts to determine specified toleranceDrills, taps, reams, countersinks, and spot faces bolt holes in partsMust be proficient in using most hand operated toolsFollows written instructions, notes and dimensions on drawingsAbility to follow the redline process for drawing errorsBolts, screws, and rivets parts togetherDisassembles and replaces parts as requiredCleans and lubricates parts and assembliesMarks identifying information on partsHave a working knowledge of proper riveting techniquesProficient in modifying parts per the drawings i.e.: cut, drill, radius, etc.Able to identify required dash numbers in a drawing structurePerform soldering and crimping operationsTests functional performance of assemblyShare knowledge and techniques to help others progressJob Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detailExcellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative requiredExcellent communication, both written and verbalWork independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiativeHave basic knowledge of the use and maintenance of common shop toolsTools & Equipment Requirements:Employees are required to provide and maintain a basic set of personal hand tools necessary to perform essential job functionsAll tools must be maintained in a safe working conditionEducation, Certifications and Experience:High school diploma or GED and five years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePhysical Demands and Work Environment:Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
