Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. seeks an Aircraft Composite Technician for the 2nd shift to repair components using wet layup and prepregs in controlled environments. The role requires attention to precision, safety, and teamwork in a busy shop setting in Cedar Hill, TX.

Responsibilities include using measuring tools, operating autoclave and curing ovens, and maintaining tools and facilities. A high school diploma is required; A&P license is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license welcome.
• Journeyman: 0–5 years; Master: 5+ years experience as composite technician.
• Ability to use close tolerance measuring tools and hand tools.
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Repair parts/components using Wet Layup or Prepreg processes, in clean room or autoclave-grown environments.
• Use measuring tools and hand tools to perform alignment and assembly with fixtures.
• Operate shop equipment such as curing ovens and autoclaves safely.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling; follow safety and company rules.
• Communicate clearly in English with team leaders and supervisors.
